金泳三当政后面临的问题和政策主张

KIM YOUNG SAM′S PROBLEMS AND HIS POLICY DECISION

金泳三于1993年2月25日就任韩国第七任总统,他是韩国历史上第一位文人总统,他在竞选中一再强调要建设一个'新韩国'。经济上有难题在国内政策上,金泳三主张'在稳定中进行改革',开创文官政治新时代,实行廉政,建立'强有力的政府',大力振兴近于停滞的韩国经济。

the only paper which gives us a comprehensive analysis both on the domestic and foreign policies of ROK's first civilian President.Kim promised to regain the vitality of ROK's economy and to control the inflation rate below 3% level.Attractive as they are,the goals are not sure to be reached.Politically,Kim will meet the challenges both from the parties not in office and those who are within his own party. Kim will continue to follow the foreign policy set by the previous government,making efforts to improve and strengthen the relations with the United States,Japan,Russia and China,and at the same time holding strong stand in Korean Peninsular issue.
