一年来的中欧关系评述

SINO_EUROPEAN RELATIONS OVER THE PASSED YEAR

１９９８ 年，中欧关系全面发展，双方高层互访频繁，经贸及科技合作进一步扩大，欧盟继续调整对华政策。但也应看到中欧关系中仍存在一些制约因素。

The article hasthree parts:(1) The substantive mea sures taken for elevating Sino_European relations.Thisincludesthe EU○schangein attitudetoward humanrightissue,China and EUforthe firsttime established a standing mechanism forthesum mit dialogues,thesoftening ofthe EU○s anti_dumping policy toward China,and the enlargement of cooperation in trade andscientific_technological areas.(2) The motivation for elevating Sino_European relations. Among others,the EUneedsthe cooperation from Chinato realizeitsstrategic goal.(3) How tolook atthe developmentofthe bilateralrelations. On the one hand ,itis an agreeable thing to see an all_round development ofSino_European relationsin 1998 . On the other hand ,there still exist some factors which are unfavorable for a comprehensive partnership between the two sides.
