First of all, I would like to thank the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament for its organizing the Commemorative Event for the International Day of Peace 2018 on the topic of Global Security:Current Situation and Prospects.On 21 September, 37 years ago, the UN in its General Assembly of 1981 had issued a historic resolution declaring 21 September as the International Day of Peace each year.
