The effect of inorganic flocculants, such as lime, aluminum sulfate, polyaluminum chloride, polymeric ferric sulfate and ferric chloride on enhanced primary stage treatment of domestic seawater is researched when they are used solely and jointly with polymeric propane amide (PAM). The results show that the composite consisting of inorganic flocculent and PAM has an excellent effect on domestic seawater treatment. After treatment, not only COD can be reduced by 61%, but also SS and BOD can be reduced.
