民国时期我国私立大学校长研究

私立大学校长对私立大学发展起着至关重要的作用。民国时期,私立大学由于在经费来源、机构设置、运行机制等方面不同于公立大学,导致私立大学校长在产生方式、办学自主权、任职年限、奉献精神等方面有别于公立大学校长。与公立大学校长主要由政府任命不同,私立大学校长的产生有董事会或办学者聘任、办学者自任校长、师生公推、政府委任等多种方式;私立大学校长在经费使用、教学改革、学校管理等方面有较大的自主权;私立大学校长不由政府任命,受政治经济等因素影响较小,能安心于教育工作,大多数校长任职年限较长,私立大学校长有较强的奉献精神,把全部时间和精力投入到教育事业。

As a president plays a vital role in the development of a private university,it is different from a public university in the Republic of China,in funding sources,institutional setting and operational mechanism.This paper studies the roles of a private university president in his election or appointment,operation or management,length of a term and dedication.It is claimed that since private university presidents are not appointed by government and are not influenced by political and economic factors,most of them have a longer service life and a stronger dedication spirit to the cause of education.
