Zhou Enlai and the Establishment of Central Soviet Area

周恩来在进入中央苏区前及在中央苏区的两年多时间里,忠诚履行其职责,对中央苏区的创建作出了重大贡献,表现在六个方面:一是率领南昌起义军南下途中,修正和宣传党的方针政策与军事行动,为赣闽粤边苏区的建立奠定了基础;二是支持了毛泽东对红四军的领导,推动了古田会议的胜利召开;三是在各方面有力支援了朱毛红军和中央苏区;四是努力制止、消除"左"倾教条主义、冒险主义对中央苏区的不良影响;五是和朱德一起指挥中央苏区第四次反"围剿"并取得了巨大胜利;六是对红军作战方针及各项建设提出了许多重要意见。这一切都对中央苏区的创建发挥了实际作用。

Zhou Enlai was royal to his duty and made great contributions to the establishment of the central Soviet area before his coming into it and his staying in it for two years.He did six things which were of practical use for the establishment of the central Soviet area.Firstly,on the way he led the Nanchang Uprising army men southwards,he amended and spread the CPC’s policies and military actions and laid a base for the Soviet area among Jiangxi Fujian and Guangdong provinces.Secondly,he supported Mao Zedong’s leadership of the Red Fourth Army and the successful opening of Gutian Conference.Thirdly,he assisted the Red Army led by Zhu De and Mao Zedong and the central Soviet area from all aspects.Fourthly,he worked hard to stop and clear away the bad influence on the central Soviet area from the"Left"dogmatism and adventurism.Fifthly,he won the great victory together with Zhu De on the fourth anti-"encircle"of the central Soviet area.Lastly,he put forward many important suggestions on the red army war principles and all kinds of constructions.
