高校学生党员发展工作是高校党建工作的重要组成部分,基层学生党支部在这一过程中发挥重要作用。当前高校基层学生党支部党员发展工作存在基层组织投入不足、党员发展"入口"把关不严格、党员发展评价体系不健全、基层组织工作模式创新不足等问题。改进和加强高校基层学生党支部建设可以从完善制度建设、健全考评体系、重视党务工作人员的培养、严把"入口"关、发挥学生党员示范引领作用等方面入手。
