A gilded glassy carbon electrode for the voltammetric determination of trace Pb 2+ , Cd 2+ was described. Optimization of experiment parameters is selected by test. The content of lead and cadmium has linear relationship with the stripping current in the range of 4.0-200μg/l and 2.0-100μg/l respectively. The recovery is from 95-107%. Using this electrode, trace levels of Pb 2+ ,Cd 2+ in water was determined.
