Reinforcing the Education of Mathematical Culture to Promote the Rational and Scientific Spirit of the Whole Nation

本文从西方理性精神的形成与发展、中国传统文化中理性的特点与科学理性精神的缺失、中国现代文化中科学理性精神缺失现象分析等几方面入手,论述了加强数学文化教育对于全面提升全民族科学理性精神的重要作用。

Building a harmonious socialist society needs to promote the scientific and rational spirit of the whole nation, and the formation and development of a nation's scientific and rational spirit is closely related to the mathematical culture of the nation. The reinforcement of mathematical education is essential to the improvement of the national spirit. The thesis discusses the important role which the reinforcement of mathematical culture has played in the entire promotion of the nation's scientific and rational spirit in the following aspects: the formation and development of Western rational spirit, the characteristic and deficiency in scientific and rational spirit of Chinese traditional culture, and the analysis on its deficiency in Chinese contemporary.
