通过对人物形象塑造的原型分析,概说了小说主要人物"母亲"的象征意义及其典型化手法,对王兴与刘子静两个职业革命家作了原型与形象之间的比照,同时对部分相关人物形象作了点评,追溯了小说作者塑造人物形象的历史依据,从而表明现实生活与小说创作之间的内在联系。

Through the analysis of the prototype of the image-shaping, this paper summarizes the symbolic meaning and its typical technique of the mother in the novel. It makes a comparison between the prototype and the image of two professional revolutionists Wang Xing and Liu Zijing. It also makes comments on part of the relevant characters. It traces the historical basis that the novel writer shaped the characters, and shows the internal relationship between the real life and the creation of the novel.
