磺化硅胶催化合成3-甲基-6-叔丁基苯酚

Catalytic Synthesis of 3-Methyl-6-t-butylphenol by using Silica sulfuric acid as a Catalyst

摘要 以磺化硅胶为催化剂,叔丁醇和间甲基苯酚为原料合成了3-甲基-6-叔丁基苯酚,考察了酚醇物质的量比,反应时间,反应温度,催化剂用量等因素对产率的影响。最佳的工艺条件为:酚醇物质的量比为1∶1,催化剂用量为0.3g,反应时间为2.5h,反应温度90℃。产品的平均收率为96.2%。实验结果表明,该催化剂容易制备,可回收利用,具有较高的催化活性。 3-methyl-6-t-butyl phenol was synthesized from m-cresol and tert-butyl alcohol by using silica sulfuric acid as a catalyst. The effects of reactant ratio, temperature, time and amount of catalyst on the yield of 3-methyl-6-t-butyl phenol were investigated. The optimum condition was as follows: molar ratio of tert-butyl alcohol to m-cresol was 1:1; amount of catalyst was 0.3 g; reaction time was 2.5 h, and reaction temperature was 90 ℃. The yield reached to 96.2%. The catalyst showed high activity for the reaction. In addition, the catalyst can be easily obtained and used repeatedly.
