摘要
本文的中心议题是探讨形成未来城市形态的途径，这种城市形态通过整合土地使用和交通规划可以有效提供可持续的交通。过去近50年来，在澳大利亚珀斯大城市地区推行的土地使用政策及其城市形态没能有效地实现上述目的。作者认为，“地方活动走廊规划”或许能够成为一种有效实现整合的规划方法。
The papers' central theme is theexamination of approaches to future urbanform that can effectively provide forsustainable transport through the integrationof landuse planning and transport planning.For almost half a century the broad policystrategies for land use and urban formpursued in metropolitan Perth, WesternAustralia has not been effective. The authorsuggests that the application of local urbanactivity corridor planning may provide aneffective approach.
