Thought Intention of Shen Congwen from his Novel Border Town

沈从文以一个“乡下人”独特的乡土抒情的美学风格创造了一个湘西世界,表达了对记忆中的故乡的同情和热爱。正是基于一个“乡下人”的思想意蕴和他理想的矛盾,他创造出了更具有人性美,更近于人情的《边城》。

As a“Countryman”,Shen Congwen created a Xiangxi world on the bases of unique aesthtic style generated from his native land.At the same time,he expressed his sympathy and love for his hometown which is in his memory.Just because of the paradox between his thought inteation as a“countryman”and his ideal,he created the novel Border Town with the characteristie of expressing worldy wisdom and human nature.
