价值观是文化的核心和灵魂,而谚语是一个民族集体智慧的结晶。借助美国人类学家弗罗伦斯.克拉克洪分析文化模式的五种取向,即人性取向、人和自然关系取向、时间取向、行为取向和社会关系取向,逐一剖析中国和西方国家文化价值观的差异,并引用汉语和英语中的相关谚语加以佐证。

This paper is aimed at exploring the difference of the values in Chinese culture and western culture through Chinese and English proverbs.Values are the core and soul of a culture.This paper discusses the values of the Chinese culture and western culture through the five orientations developed by American anthropologist Dr.Florence R.Kluckhohn,i.e.human nature orientation,relationship of human to nature,time orientation,activity orientation and human relations orientation.All the difference can be found in Chinese and English proverbs.
