对合作原则的哲学思考

A Philosophical Review on Cooperative Principle

Grice的合作原则对后来的语用学研究深有影响,但也引发了后人的种种争议。而争议的焦点又集中在是否要遵循其四大准则。从言语交际学和修辞学的角度对合作原则的四大准则进行哲学意义上的思考和探索,对四大准则的标准进行界定,重新认识合作原则及其四大准则的理论意义和实践意义,认为合作原则是一条指导成功言语交际的语用原则,其作用和意义是无可替代的。

Grice's Cooperative Principle has evoked great disputes amomg the circle of pragmatics.Most of the disputes focuses on its four Maxims.This paper gives a philosophical review on Cooperative Principle and its four Maxims,judging the criteria of the four Maxims from the perspective of verbal communication and rhetoric for the purpose of better understanding of the theoretical and practical value of Cooperative Principle.We claim that the Cooperative Principle can not be replaced by other pragmatic principles for its great covery and explanatory power.
