课堂演讲与提高大学生口语能力的探析

The Exploration on Public Speech and the Improvement of the Oral English Proficiency of College Students

随着中国加入WTO,培养具有外语交际能力的优秀人才成为大学外语教育的当务之急,但是在应试教育的教学模式下,学生的口语能力长期被忽视,现状令人担忧。主张利用学生课堂演讲的方法来提高学生口语能力,分析了其现实可能性,并且提出了具体操作步骤。

After China' entry of WTO,to produce competent students with excellent English skills has become the urgent task of today's colleges and universities.This essay,concerning the improvement of the oral English proficiency of the college students,makes investigation and initial practice on the application of public speech teaching to English class and analyses the significance of this teaching model as well as its operation process.
