The Canterbury Tales is the supreme achievement of Chaucer's works in his life.It maintains the individualistic life attitude,opposes to the asceticism,exposes the corruption and degeneration of the church and admires free love.In the work,Chaucer describes different people like the Knight,the Wife of Bath,the prioress and so on.Through the Characters' Words and behaviors,outlooks and life styles,it embodies the humanism,refracts the reality and embodies their outlooks and their thirst for free life.
