中国英语学习者的Because误用现象调查分析——一项基于语料库的研究

Misuses of Because by Chinese EFL Learners——A Corpus-based Study

Because是常用的表示原因的连词,借助中国学习者语料库(CLEC)的研究发现,中国英语学习者对because的使用存在误用现象。主要错误有首字母大小写失误、because和because of混用、because冗余等方面的误用现象。这些误用现象主要是由粗心、母语迁移和没完全掌握because的用法等原因造成的。不仅如此,不同英语水平的学习者所犯的错误也不同,水平越低,错误越多。

Because is commonly used to express reasons.The paper attempts to conduct an analysis of misuses of because by Chinese EFL learners by means of error analysis.Chinese EFL learners may misspell the word,confuse because and because of,use a redundant because,etc.These misuses may be caused due to the following reasons:negative transfer,failure to master the use of because and because of,etc.In addition,the advanced learners make much fewer mistakes than other learners.
