The historical documents of Huizhou have a chief characteristic:it not only has abundant copy files,but also owns rich documents of ancient books.The social economic system and the historic culture that it reflects have the feature of locality besides its typicality and universality.Such a quality has determined its important value on studying Chinese history in the same period,probing into social condition at the basic level in ancient China,launching a surpassing-subject and comprehensive study on Chinese history and so on.In no doubt,the exploitation and utilization of these documents is adapting to learning development since the 20th century.By developing the science about Huizhou,the traditional research method of state learning--using the documents to testify the documents--will be broken greatly,and the history of china especially in the Ming and Qing Dynasties will open up a new prospect.
