Research on Peter H.L.Chang's Educational Thinking

指出张学良不仅是一位爱国将军,一位民族英雄,也是一位杰出的热心教育事业的教育家。阐明了张学良的教育兴国思想,五育并重的人才培养方针,理论与实践相结合的教学模式,名师创名校,以人为本的办学理念和按照社会需求办学等教育思想,堪称中国现代教育事业发展的先行。尤其强调了这些教育思想对东北大学的发展更是起到了奠基的作用。

?Peter H.L. Chang was not only a patriotic general, a national hero, but also an outstanding educator. The thesis demonstrates Chang's thought on education and principle of training intellectuals with five educational objectives and develops the teaching model of theory combined with practice. Chang's thought is concerned with the goal of using renowned scholars for humanistic and social objectives, can be regarded as the protypes of China's modern educational development. These thoughts are seminal for later development of Northeastern University.
