The Special Role of Interlanguage in Foreign Language Learning

摘要 通过对第二语言习得理论中的一个重要概念过渡语的分析,指出它在外语习得过程中举足轻重的地位。分析了过渡语与外语学习、语言错误之间的关系,说明过渡语是外语教学中不可忽略的重要内容。提出外语教师必须认识到过渡语是语言学习者在学习过程中的一种正常语言过渡系统,并有责任引导学生避免过多使用过渡语,尽可能减少过渡语给语言学习带来的负面影响。 ?Through the analysis of interlanguage, a very important concept in second language acquisition, its significant role in foreign language acquisition is pointed out followed by extended discussion on its relationship with foreign language learning and language errors. The paper makes it clear that interlanguage is of great importance and cant' be neglected in teaching. It puts forward the view that language teachers must realize that interlanguage is a normal language transition and are responsible for guiding the learners not to use too much of it so as to reduce its negative effect.
