?Through the analysis of interlanguage, a very important concept in second language acquisition, its significant role in foreign language acquisition is pointed out followed by extended discussion on its relationship with foreign language learning and language errors. The paper makes it clear that interlanguage is of great importance and cant' be neglected in teaching. It puts forward the view that language teachers must realize that interlanguage is a normal language transition and are responsible for guiding the learners not to use too much of it so as to reduce its negative effect.
