论《晋书》的速成及其存在的问题

关于《晋书》的撰人应以今本《唐会要》的记载最为可信,即共有二十一人。这些人之间做了细致明确的分工,有掌其事者,有详其条例、量加考正者,有分工撰录者,各司其职,互相配合,一百三十卷的《晋书》之所以能够速成,与此有很大关系。速成的《晋书》具有以往同类史书所不具备的许多优点,正是因此,该书一出,获得广泛认可,言晋史者,皆弃旧本而从新撰。但由于种种原因,此次修成的《晋书》也存在不少缺点,主要有内容遗漏、错谬相沿、取材不当、照应不够、诠配不伦等。与《晋书》的巨大成就相比,这当然是白璧微疵,瑕不掩瑜。而这些缺点,并非《晋书》所独有,不少官修正史都程度不同地存在类似问题。《晋书》存在的问题应该成为所有史书修撰者的前车之鉴。

There are many records about the number of Jin Shu's writers. But these records are not all accurate and real. According to our researches, only the record of Tang Hui Yao, which says there were twenty-one writers, is right. The quick completion of Jin Shu with 130 volumes owes to the large number of Jin Shu's writers. And as soon as the book was published, it received a high praise. However, the book also has a lot of defects such as pretermissions, errors. Comparing with the merits , the defects of Jin Shu are not important. But after all this is a great regret. Besides, these defects are shared by many books of history, and the defects of Jin Shu should become a warning to all the writers of history books.
