A New Species of Culicoides (Oecacta) (Diptera:Ceratopogonidae) fromHeilongjiang Province, China

This paper reports Culicoides (Oecacta) undentaris , sp. nov. from Heilongjiang province in China. The type specimen is deposited in the Institute of Military Medical Sciences, Shenyang Military District, Shenyang 110034, China. Culicoides (Oecacta) undentaris , sp. nov. (Fig.1) The new species is somewhat allide to Culicoides (Oecacta) comosioculatus Tokunaga 1956, but both of them are distinctly different in mandible teeth, lacinia teeth and basal dentes of hind leg claws of female. Female Wing length 1.70 mm. Eyes separated, with interfacetal hairs; antennal ratio 1.05, sensilla coeloconica present on segments 3,11～15; third segment of palpus with sensory pit, palpal ratio 2.36; mandible and lacinia without teeth. Wing light dark, without pattern. Hind leg claws with basal dentes, fork shaped in distal portion. Spermathecae 2, unequal, 55μm×47μm, 52μm×43μm. Holotype ♀, collected on 13 Ⅵ 1983, from Raohe county, Heilongjiang Province, China.
