A Psycholinguistic Study on the Translation Process

翻译是一种以语言为中介的活动,而不只是指译文本身。所以翻译研究不能只停留在对译文的研究,还要更深入到对翻译过程的研究。翻译活动是心理活动和语言应用的统一体,而心理语言学正是对语言与心理活动之间关系的研究。所以心理语言学可以从最基础的语言、心理、思维的角度对翻译过程进行解释和分析,为翻译研究提供更深的理论基础。以跨学科的视野来拓宽现有的研究成果已成为翻译学发展的趋势之一。

Translation is an activity taking use of language as a medium,not referring to the translation version itself only.Therefore,translation studies cannot be constrained in studying the translation version,but should go deeper laying more emphasis on the research of process.Translating activity involves psychological activities and language application,and psycholinguistics is just a science studying the relations between language and psychological activities.So psycholinguistics can provide explanations and analyses for the translation process from the basic aspects of language,psychology,and thought,serving as the deeper theory foundation for translation studies.It has become one of the developing trends for the translation studies to broaden the present studies with an interdisciplinary perspective.
