浮生六记市清代文学爱好者沈复的一部自传,主要描写了他与妻子芸尽情享受自然和艺术之美的恬淡而有情趣的生活。这个更是林语堂先生最见功力的译作,译文在英国杂志发表后备受推崇。原著以文言文成文,其中有不少涉及中华古典文化的内容,虽说这给原著增色不少,但是这给翻译却带来了很多的困难。其中涉及了许多了可译性及不可译性的问题。

Fushengliuji is an autobiografhy of shenfu,who was a literature lover of Qing Dynasty.In this book,it mainly described the interesting life that shenfu and his wife yun lived.In their life they enjoyed the beauty of the nature and art.This was also one of the best translating works of linyutang,which was highly spoken after being published in a British magazine.At the first beginning,the book was written in classical Chinese(wenyanwen),it refered to a lot of Chinese classical culture content.Although this gave the original elegance,it also brought lots of difficulties when translating work goes on,such as the problem of translatability and untranslatability.
