有质量的中文影片片名翻译是艺术的要求,也是电影这种文化产品实现商业价值的必然结果,更有益中西文化交流和中国文化的传播。通过对近年中文影片名英译实例的剖析,依据功能对等理论,探究了其英译策略,为中文影片片名英译提供有益经验,更是为了避免不理想英译的覆辙。
Good translation of the name of Chinese film is artistic requirement,and is beneficial to not only the realization of the commercial value of the film,but also,more importantly,the communication of Chinese and western culture and the dissemination of Chinese culture.Analysis of the translation of the names Chinese films produced recent years unfolds,according to the theory of functional equivalence,the translation strategies so as to provide helpful experience for future translation and avoid the unsatisfactory translation.
