摘要
从中西方对龙的差异,分析不同文化背景的人对龙从范畴化到隐喻化认知的差别。从而得出隐喻认知与汉语语言文化模型有密切的关系。在翻译过程中理应注意dragon与loong对于表达龙的区别。
An attempt is made to analyze a study of the categorization and metaphorical cognition of dragon(loong) in English and Chinese,and of the relation between them and Chinese culture.The author advocate the positive translation of the Chinese'dragon'to be 'loong'.
