With more and more foreign games introduced to China,the translation of game title gets more and more attention in the field of translation.Choosing an appropriate title translation plays a vital role for the spread of the game.This article analyzes the purpose and essence of the game title translation and the strategies used in it mainly from the Skopos theory.Strategies mostly used are literal translation,free translation,literal and free translation combined and transliteration.
