Analysis of the Causes to English Majors Translation Competence Actualities

翻译能力研究有助于翻译教学的展开,该文浅析了翻译能力研究的特点,揭露了目前我国英语专业本科生翻译能力不高的事实,并从翻译能力培养缺失与学习主体翻译意识薄弱自主学习能力差两方面分别剖析了其成因,指出今后翻译教学要从教与学的主体分别入手,双管齐下才能使学生的翻译能力实现质的突破。

Studies on translation competence help to promote the translation teaching.And this paper not only discusses the characteristics of the translation competence studies,but also reveals the actualities of the current English majors'poor translation competence.It furthers to point out the loss of the translation competence cultivation and poor translation awareness of the students are the causes to the above actualities.Thus it stresses to upgrade students'translation competence from both the teaching and learning sides.
