英汉被动结构的对比研究——以《呼啸山庄》为例

On Chinese-English Contrastive Study of Passive Structure——Illustrated by Wuthering Heights

随着经济全球化进展的加快,中西文化交流的频繁,英语与汉语之间对比分析也越来越受到重视。英汉被动语态之间的对比为英汉语之间的对比研究提供了一定的依据。该文分别对英语和汉语的结构被动式和意义被动式进行比较,找出其不同特征。被动语态在英汉语中都占有相当的比重,因此,对英汉语被动语态的研究促进了我们对中西语言文化和思维方式差异的认识和理解。该文以《呼啸山庄》英文本和方平的中译本(受到广大读者极大好评的、忠实于原著的译本)中典型的被动句为例,一一详解,为中西语言文化差异,甚至是思维方式差异提供理据,以此来促进跨文化交际。

With the development of economic globalization and frequent exchange between Chinese and western culture,schol ars put more and more attention to Chinese-English contrastive study.The Chinese-English passive voice contrast provides basis for Chinese-English contrastive study.This paper compares structural passive and meaning passive of Chinese and English respec tively to find out their different characteristics.The passive voice accounts for a considerable proportion of Chinese and English.Therefore,the Chinese-English passive voice contrast makes us understand language and culture differences and differences in thinking patterns between Chinese and western.This paper takes typical passive sentences as example,which are from Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte and its Chinese version by FangPing(it gets great praise from readers and is faithful to the original ver sion) and illustrate them one by one,thus providing basis for language and culture differences and differences in thinking patterns between Chinese and western to promote cross-cultural communication.
