Equivalence,a term used by many writers to describe the nature and the extent of the relationships which exist be tween SL and TL.The paper introduces it from different perspective and finally reach the conclusion that equivalence serves as the permanent scale for people to measure the reasonable,sufficient and appropriate meaning to their own sense.
