Applying English Deixis in the Teaching of Indirect Speech

关于指示语的研究一直是国内外语言学家关心和讨论的热点。指示语的特征对在直接引语和间接引语相互转换时,人称、地点、时间及时态出现变化的现象具有很好的解释力。该文从指示语自我为中心的这一特性的角度出发,基于列文森的理论基础对英语语法中直接引语转换间接引语进行分析讲解。

The research on deixis is always a heated topic for many domestic and foreign linguists.Deixis used in the conversion of direct speech and indirect speech has a good explanation for the changes of person,place,time,and tense.The dissertation starts from the perspective of deictic egocentricity,on the basis of Levinson's deictic theory,aiming to analyze and explain the use of direct speech and indirect speech.
