Through the general comparison between the Chinese version of A Farewell to Arms by Lin Yijin and that by Song Biyun,the distinct differences of the two Chinese versions of the novel are exposed.Due to the sharp contrast in terms of the basic translating method,style,and comprehension of the original text,the two translations distinguish themselves from one another.
