The Influence of Surroundings on Human Behaviors——Thought on Lord of the Flies

在学术界,人性善恶在过去的许多年一直是人们热议的一个话题。特别是当著名英国作家威廉·戈尔丁的小说《蝇王》发表之后,人们对人性善恶这个话题更是探讨不断并持有截然不同的观点。纵观前人的相关研究,以《蝇王》为依托进行人性善恶的探讨为数不少。而他们都忽视了一个非常重要的因素:外部环境。在此,从一个全新的角度,通过详尽的分析,探讨《蝇王》中环境对人类行为影响,驳斥人性善恶说。

Whether human nature is evil or good has been a hot topic in the academic field in the past years.Especially after the publication of the novel Lord of the Flies written by the famous British writer William Golding,there are more probes and different people show very different opinions.Skimming the relevant researches,we'll find there are so many researches and discussions based on Lord of the Flies.However they ignore a very important factor:external surroundings.Here,from a fresh perspective,a new conclusion is arrived at that human behavior is much influenced by surroundings rather than decided by the human nature through a careful and detailed analysis of the novel Lord of the Flies.
