The paper studied the application and practice of equivalence theory in literary translation. First, it analyzed the connotation background, current applications and future development of equivalence theory; then, from the theoretical and practical aspects, it discussed the possibility and necessity of equivalence theory in practice; at last, according to the actual translation process and encountered problems, it expounded the translation principles. From the vocabulary, notes, and chapter aspects, this paper comprehensively discussed the literary translation practice of equivalents theory.
