In the famous Japanese American novel All I Asking for Is My Body, Milton Murayama describes Japanese Americans’ values and their living experience in Hawaii by permeating pidgin English or Japanese into Standard English in his writing process. This paper tries to illustrate the relationship between language and culture and restore Japanese American image through analyzing the author’s intention, in order to enlighten other Asian American writers in breaking oriental stereotypes.
