从顺应理论的视角解读中国现代散文的英译——以张培基《吹牛的妙用》的英译本为例

维索尔伦的语言顺应理论认为,语言使用的过程是语言使用者按照交际环境和交际对象不断地进行语言选择的过程。在顺应理论的框架内,翻译是一个对原语的语境和语言结构之间作出的动态顺应过程。该文以维索尔伦的语言顺应理论为基础,以张培基《吹牛的妙用》的英译为例,分别从语言结构的顺应、语境的顺应和顺应过程的意识突显等方面探讨了顺应理论在中国现代散文翻译当中的理论指导意义和实践运用价值。

According to Adaptation Theory proposed by Verschueren,language use is acontinuous process of making choices ac cording to the communicative contexts.Within the framework of Adaptation Theory,translation is a dynamic process of adapta tion to the original contexts and linguistic structures.On the basis of Verschueren's Adaptation Theory and Zhang Peiji's transla tion work The Wonderful Use of Boasting,this paper attempts to explore thetheoretical and practical value of Adaptation Theo ry in the guidance of translation in terms of linguistic adaptability,context adaptability and salience of adaptation respectively.
