基于介词AT-ON-IN语义微系统的认知习得假说

摘要 空间概念是人类认识之初,具有明显的体验性。该文从认知语言学的核心思想认知体验出发,仔细研究并详细梳理了英语高频介词AT-ON-IN语义微系统的语义扩展途径和模式,发现英语介词AT-ON-IN的习得要遵循一个普遍规律,即体验—体认—内部转化—语义拓展这四个不可或缺的习得步骤,简化为认知习得假说。这种以认知体验为先的英语介词习得机制有助于语言学习者更好、更快地熟悉并掌握AT-ON-IN的各种概念结构,深入理解这些介词概念结构的内在联系和区别性特征。 As the origin of human conceptions, spatial concepts are largely embodied. In light of cognition and embodiment, the kernel of cognitive linguistics, this paper contributes itself to a thorough and detailed study in quest of the semantic extension pat?terns of English prepositions AT-ON-IN, finding that a four-step rule is much involved in the acquisition of AT-ON-IN, that is, embodiment, body-oriented recognition, internal semantic change and semantic extension, simplified as cognitive acquisition hy?pothesis. It is conducive to language learners’better and quicker familiarity and mastery of a multitude of concepts in terms of AT-ON-IN, and their stronger perception of these prepositions’internal links and distinctive features in meaning.
