Sister Carrie by Theodore Dreiser finished in 1900 is considered to be the mature masterpiece of naturalism in the Unit?ed States. Based on naturalism, this paper tries to analyze how the environmental factors, the genetic factors and fatalism are em?bodied in the novel Sister Carrie.
