英语社论中的语义模糊初探

The Study of Fuzziness in English Editorials

语义的模糊性存在于语言的各个层面,该次研究从词汇和句子两个层面对英语社论中的模糊现象进行探讨,研究发现社论中的语义模糊主要体现在词汇层面,模糊语言的使用具有符合大众的阅读心理,避免报道的绝对化,增加社论可信度的功能。但是模糊语言也要慎用,做到该模糊时模糊,该精确时精确。

Semantic fuzziness exists in every level of language. This paper mainly focuses on the lexical and sentence aspects to study the fuzziness in English editorials, in which the lexical aspect is prominent. After the analysis, it can be inferred that fuzzy terms can improve the credibility of English editorials and meet the public reading psychology. In addition, the proper use of them is also crucial.
