结构主义语言学与生成语法的语义观比较

A Comparison of the Semantics between the Structural Linguistics and Generative Grammar

结构主义语言学和生成语法两大语言学流派有诸多不同。该研究从对语言的组成部分—语义的观点的角度切入,来分析这两大流派之间的不同。研究发现,结构主义语言学和生成语法的语义观的不同主要体现在对语义的理解上,语义和句法的关系上,以及对语义变化原因的解释上。其根本原因在于它们对语言的观点的不同:结构主义语言学旨在描写语言,而生成语法则是通过对现有言语的分析总结出普遍语法。

There are various differences between the structural linguistics and generative grammar. This study makes a comparison between these two schools of linguistics from the perspective of semantics. It is found that the differences of the semantics between them are their understanding of meaning, the relationship between semantics and syntax and their explanation of the changes in meaning. The basic reason lies in their understanding of language:the structural linguistics aim to describe language while genera?tive grammar, based on the analysis of language, aims to conclude the universal grammar.
