A Literary Stylistic Approach to the Style Translation in A Little Cloud

文学文体学作为一门新兴的交叉学科以阐释文学文本的主题意义和美学价值为目的被广泛的应用于文学作品风格翻译研究。该文从文学文体学的角度论《一朵浮云》的风格翻译。小说的语言风格是作者的独特标记,《一朵浮云》作为爱尔兰现代主义作家詹姆斯·乔伊斯现代短篇小说新起点之一,其词汇、句法和修辞方面的选择独具特色。该文文拟从这三个方面对《一朵浮云》的两个中文译本进行比较研究,以寻求翻译中达到最大风格对等的途径,有效且精准地保留作者风格。

As a new branch of interdisciplinary science, literary stylistics is widely applied in the research of the style translation of literary works for the purpose of interpreting the thematic meaning and aesthetic value of literary text. The present paper dis?cussed the style translation of A Little Cloud from the perspective of literary stylistics. The linguistic style of the novel is often con?sidered author’s unique mark. A Little Cloud, as one of new starting points of modern short stories of Irish modernist author James Joyce, has distinctive vocabulary, syntax and rhetoric. In order to seek the method to achieve the biggest stylistic equiva?lence in the translation and efficiently and accurately retain author’s style, this paper compared and studied two Chinese versions of A Little Cloud from three aspects mentioned above.
