The study on the theories of language attrition is of great significance in terms of keeping language ability and improv-ing the learning efficiency. Besides, language attrition theories also inspire the way to learn and to teach foreign languages in col-leges. In accordance with the main theories of language attrition, some pertinent and practical teaching and learning suggestions are presented.
