概念隐喻对英语口语教学的启示——以乔布斯在斯坦福大学的演讲为例

摘要 近年来,隐喻研究已经引起许多学者的关注,语言中使用隐喻的情况极为普遍。在外语教学中,"说"是一大产出技能,因此,如何将隐喻思维和口语教学联系起来就显得尤为重要。该文将以乔布斯在斯坦福大学的演讲为例,分析了概念隐喻在演讲中的作用,将概念隐喻与英语口语教学结合起来,探讨了概念隐喻与口语教学连接的必要性,认为概念隐喻知识的传授能够帮助学生克服词汇单一、中式化、缺少创新性和多样性等现有口语通病,对口语教学有启示作用。 In recent years, Metaphor has arisen many scholars' attention. The situation that Metaphor used in the language is very common. In Foreign Language Teaching,"speaking"is an output skill. Therefore, It is obviously important to know how to com-bine metaphor thought with oral English teaching. This essay will take Jobs' speech in Stanford as an example, analyze the role of Metaphor in speech, combine conceptual metaphor with oral English teaching, and then discuss the importance of the combina-tion of them. Conceptual Metaphor can help students get rid of the common failures in Oral English, such as:single vocabulary, chinglish, lack of innovation and variety, and so on. All these can provide us with some enlightenment on Oral English Teaching.
