Yan Fu,as the most important translator and enlightenment thinker in Qing Dynasty,exerted great influence on the development of science thought in modern China by means of Tian Yan Lun. This article would expound the influence on the birth and development of Chinese social thought in late Qing dynasty brought by Yan Fu ’s Tian Yan Lun in order to evaluate ob-jectively the historical role of Yan Fu’s works.
