成功的语篇翻译是基于译者对原文语篇意义的正确理解,即对原文语用语境的正确分析。再借助译语语境对该信息重新编码成译文,让译语读者能够顺畅地理解原文含义。涉外旅游翻译和美食文化传播过程中菜名汉译英的原则就是要准确理解和转换语内语境的语法意义中的词法,语外语境的信息性、可接受性和文艺性。
The successful text translation is based on the translator's correct understanding for the original text, that is to say, the correct analysis for the original text's pragmatic context. Then the translator recodes the information in the target language based on the target language's context, in order to let the reader in the target language able to smoothly understand the original text's pragmatic meaning. The rule for menu's Chinese-to-English translation, in the course of tourism translation and fine food cultural communication, is to correctly understand and change the morphology in the syntactic meaning of the interior language context, and the informative character, receptive character and art character of the exterior language context.
