This article reviews the current state of research into the development of intercultural education and the ultimate goal of foreign language teaching in modern time. A discussion of the implication of ILT paradigm is followed by detailed method-ological propositions as to the applications of online or self-created corpora to ensure the integration of cultural teaching and lan-guage teaching. Learners’multiple cultural context experience and creative sociopragmatic language patterns indicate a promising future for intercultural competence cultivation.
