摘要
文学作品的意义由意思和文体价值共同构成,只有同时再现原文意思和文体价值的翻译才是完整意义的翻译。文体学的引入将促进翻译学的发展,但将文体学纳入到翻译理论中的研究还不多。以文体学翻译理论为视角,首先对经典名篇《陋室铭》原文和罗经国相应英译本进行文体学分析,然后通过在用词、句型/字相、修辞方面对原文和译文进行比较对比研究,结果发现罗经国英译本不尽人意。翻译中应重视文体的对应,只有意思和文体都对应的译文才是满意的译文。
The significance of literary works consists of sense and stylistic values. Translation in its full sense is such that conveys both the sense and stylistic values of the original text. The introduction of stylistics into translation studies will contribute to the latter's development. However, there is lacking in research that incorporates stylistics within translation studies. Firstly, the masterpiece Loushiming and its English version rendered by Luo Jingguo are stylistically analyzed with a stylistic-translational approach. Followed is a comparative and contrastive analysis of the source text and target text in the respects of wording, syntax/graphology and figures of speech. It is determined that the English version is wanting. Hence great importance should be attached to stylistic correspondence in translating and only the translations that correspond simultaneously in sense and style can be deemed as adequate renderings.
