A Textual Study of the Thematic Development of Asian American Literature

为了对亚裔美国文学的主题变迁做一文本支撑研究,该文通过对《华女阿五》、《女勇士》、《谁是爱尔兰人?》和《快要窒息》的文本进行分析,梳理了亚裔美国文学发展的三个阶段:表现自我的自传和短篇小说阶段、在文化冲突中建构少数族裔的自我身份阶段和疏离中多元的主体性及少数族裔中的少数者的发声阶段,以期加深对亚裔美国文学主题研究的深度。

In order to provide textual support for the thematic development of Asian American literature, this essay analyzes Fifth Chinese Daughter, The Woman Warrior, Who's Irish and Breathless, to comb the three stages of Asian American literature, which are namely the stage of autobiography and short stories, the stage of constructing self identity among cultural clashes, and the stage of diverse subjectivities in diaspora and the articulation of doubly marginalized groups, to deepen the thematic studies of Asian American literature.
