摘要
为进一步探析名词化隐喻在除科技语域之外的语篇中的应用及其作用,从名词化隐喻的概念入手,分析名词化隐喻的类型及特征,并用大量NPR新闻语篇中的实例来证明名词化在英语新闻语篇中起着不可或缺的作用。名词化隐喻的使用有助于增强新闻语篇的简洁性、客观性、严肃性及连贯性。
In order to conduct a further analysis on nominalization and its functions in English discourses other than scientific and technical registers, beginning with the concept of nominalization, this paper analyzes the classification and features of nominalization, and proves its essential role in NPR news discourse with lots of examples from it. Use of Nominalization in NPR news discourse can enhance its economy, objectivity, seriousness and cohesion.
